Yesterday afternoon while my husband was working in the basement and laundry was going he notices that our sewer is backing up into the basement. What a mess that could have been. Anyways he figures that the lagoon is frozen and he just needs to get out there and drill a hole. Upon arriving at the lagoon he finds that it isn't frozen over. Now we know that pipes are plugged and we need to get Rotter Rooter out to drill the pipes out. Last time this was done was about 3 years ago. There is a root system that runs by where the sewer pipe is and the roots grow through the pipe as the root grows through things are caught on the root and build up. A small price to pay for living in the country.
My hubby is calling Rotter Rooter today to have them come out and drill out the pipe. So by tonight we should be able to run water in the house again.
